Can Tatkal Tickets be Cancelled?

Tatkal tickets are mostly booked for last-minute journeys or short-notice journeys. Once you avail of the confirmed tatkal ticket you get no refund if you cancel the ticket. However, there are chances of getting a refund from the Indian Railways if you cancel out the ticket only under the below-given circumstances.

• If the train is diverted to any other route due to any other reasons and if you are not agreed with it.
• If your boarding station or destination or even both of them is not covered, you get a full refund.
• If you are not accommodated in your actual class or lower class then you can cancel the ticket and you get a full refund.

Also, if your ticket is not confirmed then automatically your ticket would be canceled and you get a complete refund within a week. You are also allowed to cancel your waitlist or CKWL ticket up to 30 minutes before the departure of the train.
